Glass fusing course
This course runs for 5 weekly sessions on Saturday mornings.
It's suitable for both beginners and those with a little experience.
During the class you will make several pieces and be able to work in depth on them.
We will cover design , layering, working with powders, frits, stringers, confettis and sheet glass.
We will look at different ways of fusing glass together in the kiln and there are many!
Each week your work will be fired and then worked on again in layers until it is finally slumped in the kiln.
Slumping is a term used to describe forming the glass over a mould in the kiln to create a bowl or curve. There is freedom within the course structure for your own creativity and ideas and as much help as you need.
Working with glass is an immersive and relaxing experience as well as being hugely rewarding
Each weekly session is three hours long.
