Discover the joy of creating your own stained glass panel in this immersive one-day workshop. Over the course of the day, you’ll learn all the essential skills needed — from cutting and shaping the glass to soldering, cementing, and polishing your finished piece.


Stained glass has a magic all its own; the way light passes through jewel-toned glass can transform a room with colour and pattern. After more than 30 years of working with glass, I’m still as excited and inspired by it as the day I began, and I look forward to sharing that passion with you.


During the workshop, you’ll:


  • Learn about design requirements and choosing a colour palette
  • Cut and grind glass pieces to fit perfectly
  • Assemble your panel with lead work and soldering
  • Cement and clean your finished piece, ready to take home



To make the most of our time, you’ll choose from a selection of pre-prepared designs (there’s not quite enough time to create an original design in a single day). I’ve included photos of previous students’ work below for inspiration.


It’s a busy, hands-on day, so come prepared to roll up your sleeves — the sense of achievement when you see your finished stained glass panel is truly worth it!


Due to how long the whole process takes there is a limit of 6 pieces per window panel


If you wish to design your own work and make a more complex piece then the Intensive weekend is better suited to you. In the longer class there is time allocated to

design.

Please note you will be handling lead so not suitable if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
